Competitive Success

I have enjoyed earning a few titles such as USDF Bronze Medalist;  Region 5 Fourth Level Champion, Open; Region 5 Third Level Reserve Champion; USDF Horse Of the Year Fourth Level, Open (third place); as well as many regional and local high point awards.  I am currently two scores short of my USDF Silver Medal and look forward to earning those scores,  then working towards my Gold.

From age 10 until the age of 21 I worked at the ATA Riding School in Draper Utah. At this wonderful school I:

  • Began training horses for Dressage, Hunters, and Trail Riding
  • Taught riding lessons to a wide variety of clients
  • Guided trail rides and ran summer camps
  • Competed in Endurance and Competitive Trail Riding

Terry Coppin mentored me in all levels of horse training, from working with weanlings to starting horses under saddle and beyond into specialized training.

I started horses with all types of backgrounds and had the pleasure of training and showing Terry’s lovely Arabian stallion, Wind Charmer.

These events, and exposure to a wide variety of people and their horses are some of my happiest memories, and I’m grateful I had this wonderful opportunity.

Horse Crazy at an early age!

My passion began almost before I can remember. At around age 4, I was training in my imagination, starting with a bay mare that I named King.

Soon I had an entire herd of imaginary horses. My time was spent caring for, riding, and training them.

My earliest experience with real horses began at age 10 at ATA Riding School in Draper Utah.
